HWAC is dedicated to protecting and promoting the welfare of horses while supporting the integrity of Canada’s equine industry.

About HWAC

HWAC unites individuals, organizations, and industry partners committed to responsible horse care across Canada. We:

• Collaborate with equine organizations and government on welfare policies
• Provide science-based education on horse health, transportation, housing, and biosecurity
• Monitor national issues impacting horses and act to protect their welfare
• Lead projects to strengthen welfare standards and promote best practices
